GATUNDU PART TWO
As promised, here’s part two of my trip to Grandma’s. I ditched the heels, donned my sandals and had a great time walking up and about. From the compound where chicken just roamed aimlessly with bobby the dog, to the shambas where coffee and bananas grew. I also had delightful little girls who acted as my tour guides and kept cracking me up with their stories. I nostalgically remember drinking porridge at my grandmother’s from a calabash (half a calabash per se) when I was a little girl, hence reenacting that was among the highlights of my trip.
A little firewood throwdown.
The true ORGANIC Free-range chicken. It was not too happy to be captured on camera, this was taken as it attempted to fly away, the poor thing failed miserably.
I saw a mango up the tree, and decided to take a close-up look. The tom-boy I always talk about is still somewhere inside me. :) But look at what happens next....
I fell!!! And quite gracefully!!. I attempted to find out if that flimsy branch could hold my weight. Well, I can honestly say it was not as bad as it looks.
Just beautiful!!!!
I added a vintage filter to it, giving it a whole new different vibe.
Thank you guys for stopping by.
Have great weekend.
